"Every life has its kernel, its hub, its epicentre, from which everything flows out, to which everything returns."

- Hamnet, Maggie O'Farrell

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS

I work with adolescents and adults to address mental heath, wellbeing, and performance-related concerns.

The majority of my practice focuses on:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Stress, burnout, and perfectionism

  • Body image and women’s health

  • Performance-related issues (sport, school/university, or work-related)

In addition to the above, I have a special interest in working with the sporting population and performance-related issues. I have specialised training in sport and performance psychology. One focus of my practice includes working with athletes and performers across the following areas: athlete identity, navigating transitions in sport (e.g., injury, life after sport), team dynamics, and performance-related issues. I believe in working with the human rather than solely focusing on the athlete, to promote understanding and build tools which can be applied in high-performance environments.

I offer workshops and presentations to a wide audience. From those based in the community to elite-level athletes, my education pieces are designed to equip individuals, teams, and organisations with strategies to improve wellbeing and performance.

Education content is tailored to the group I'm working with, so please reach out here to begin this process.

RESEARCH

My research interests are in applied psychology with a particular focus on personal and contextual factors related to high performance and well-being in sporting environments. My PhD interrogated the literature and extended conceptual knowledge that surrounds athlete stress regulation. The overarching purpose of the thesis was to advance conceptual and empirical knowledge of athlete resilience by exploring stressor reflections and the development of coping insights.
